The North-Eastern Hill University will host the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), East Zone Vice-Chancellors’ Conference on its Shillong campus on Friday and Saturday.
Cleaning drive
With a view to keep the district clean, East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Swapnil Tembe, had requested all the heads of Government Departments, educational institutions, the Nokmas and the local leaders to organise a special cleaning drive in their respective offices, schools, colleges and localities on the occasion of Meghalaya Day. This year, the district will celebrate the day with the theme ‘Clean East Garo Hills’ at DRDA Hall at 8 am on January 21.

Manta Sankardeva Cultural Centre, Bishnupur will celebrate the Magh Bihu at Namghar, Laban at 9 am on Tuesday.
