EJH administration launches crack down on illegal coal transportaion

SHILLONG: East Jaintia Hills (EJH) District Administration is now going after illegal coal mining and many vehicles carrying illegal coal have been seized by the District Administration on January 14.

On January 14 evening, the Magistrate along with Police conducted vehicle checking at Kongong and detected one truck (AS-01BC-3221) driven by Kyrshan Manar, while illegally transporting coal beyond permissible limit without Mineral Transportation and Meghalaya Environment Protection and Restoration Fund Challans, violating NGT order.

Same evening, the Magistrate along with Police conducted vehicle checking at Kongong (EJH) and detected one truck (ML-04C-1025) driven by Hamduh Dkhar, while illegally transporting coal beyond permissible limit

Police also detected (AS-01DD-6271) driven by Marbah Dkhar,  (AS-01DC-0669) driven by Balance Dkhar,  (AS-01GD-0123) driven by Aklas Uddin Barbhuya, (ML-04C-1157) driven by Heimon Dkhar, (ML-04B-0457) driven by Shedrak Rymbai, (ML-11-1753) driven by Pradeep Chakma, (ML-04B-4575) driven by Teibor Ruphi, (ML-05H-8358) driven by Ribart Dkhar, ML-05N-0178) driven by Rikiki Phawa, (AS-01AC-3335) driven by Albortion Marboh, (AS-01CC-0408) driven by Wilson Rymbai, (ML-11-5678) driven by Lammarki Kjor, (ML-04A-7996) driven by Lemmi Rymbai, (ML-11-5865) driven by Kaily Dkhar, while illegally transporting coal beyond permissible limit without Mineral Transportation and Meghalaya Environment Protection and Restoration Fund Challans, violating NGT order.
