Gold ornaments stolen for residence of IAS officer

SHILLONG: Gold  ornaments worth Rs 7 lakh were stolen from the residence of  the Secretary of the Meghalaya Government, Chinmoy P Gotmare, IAS,  located at Kench’s Trace,

Chinmoy P Gotmare, lodged a complaint that  the incident happened on January 14  afternoon when unknown miscreants broke into his residence at Kench’s Trace, Shillong

The miscreants stole gold bangles weighing 5.27 grams, gold chains weighing 40 grams / 25 grams / 15, gold chain with pendant weighing 13 grams, gold coins weighing 25 grams / 10 grams, (5) gold earrings weighing 8 grams, other gold items weighting 10 grams, (7) silver wire and silver goods weighing 600 grams and cash 15,000.
