Illicit liquor seized
In November 2018, the Excise department handled 23 cases in its campaign against the illegal sale of liquor in the state. The department seized 125.480 litres of i/d liquor and 66.760 litres of IMFL. In this connection, 18 persons were arrested under the Excise Act.
Council meeting
The Ieng Rasong Sports Social and Cultural Club will hold its general council meeting at Shillong Club on January 19 at 2:00pm. Publicity secretary S Lyngdoh has informed that the club will also elect new office bearers during the meeting.
