National Games to be held in Shillong, Tura

SHILLONG: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has informed that the upcoming National Games 2022 will be held in Tura and Shillong.
Sangma said on Thursday the Centre has recently sanctioned the construction of a new stadium in the state, adding that the existing venues will be upgraded in time for the Games.
The chief minister also admitted that the challenge was the construction of the main stadium. He said the government is focusing on accommodation and other logistics to successfully host the Games.
