The A’chik Youth Council (AYC), Central Administrative Council which brought the matter to light revealed that Buduram Rabha of Village New Potamati in West Garo Hills illegally sold his land to non-tribal Sukumar Saha who is also a resident of the same village.
According to the council, the sale deed for the land was signed between the two parties back in February 1, 2014 in the presence of then Potamati Haat Committee President and present Nokma of Bondukmali village Karonsing A Sangma and another haat committee member Kanu Marak of Rongmali village.
