Meghalaya leave for Santosh Trophy qualifiers today

Shillong: The Meghalaya Football Association (MFA) is pleased to announce its 20-member squad for the Santosh Trophy North East zone qualifiers.
Drawn from Ri-Bhoi and Khasi-Jaintia Hills, the team, led by experienced coach Khlain Pyrkhat Syiemlieh, will depart for Aizawl on Saturday. Meghalaya have been drawn with Tripura and Mizoram in Group A. Group B contains four teams – Manipur, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.
The top team from each group will progress to the next round. Meghalaya will face Tripura on February 11 and Mizoram on February 15.As per the Santosh Trophy rules, the final squad includes five players who are U-21. Words of encouragement by senior coach Hering Shangpliang and MFA CEO Arki Nongrum in the presence of other senior officials.

Midfielders: Rimitre Thma ,West Jaintia Hills, Roikhihbha Nongtdu, East Jaintia Hills, Chanmitre Thma, West Jaintia Hills, Ronald Lyngdoh Nonglait,Ri-Bhoi.
