SHILLONG: The Congress has termed the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, as a dictator in the wake of his stand on Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Opposition Chief Whip and Congress legislator P T Sawkmie said Modi has proved to be a dictator as he never bothered to have a dialogue on CAB with the agitating groups.
“When the prime minister visited Assam, people welcomed him with black flags and even then, he never bothered to call them for talks. What I could see is that PM Modi will regret one day if the BJP does not come back to power and if the BJP fails now, it will be difficult for the party to come back to power in future”, Sawkmie said.
