Office bearers
The general meeting of the Mawkhar Dorbar Shnong on Saturday elected its new office bearers. Members elected are: Arwan S Tariang as the headman, Ransom Sutnga and Keansly Basaiawmoit as the assistant headman, Greater EM Kharpuri as the general secretary, Lamphrang Warjri and Pynshai Diengdoh as the assistant secretary, Ksan Kupar Warjri as the treasurer. Block elders were also elected on the same day.
Road safety week
Shillong College observed the 30th National Road safety week at the college premises. K Chettri officer in-charge and Tongwar of Laitumkhrah Traffic branch highlighted the importance of observing safety rules.
