NONGPOH: The Khasi Students Union, North Khasi Hills District Unit on Wednesday burns down effigy of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rainath Singh in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 which was tabled today in Rajya Sabha.

Sending a strong message to the Center, the KSU leaders said that the Union along with North East Students Organisation (NESO) and other NGO in the North Eastern region will continue to protest and will not allow by any means for this act to be implement in the state and the North East as it will have a severe impact to the minorities tribals inhabiting the North East Region.
