MCA names women’s team for BCCI senior T20 tournament

SHILLONG: The senior women’s selection committee of the Meghalaya Cricket Association has selected 15 players to represent Meghalaya Cricket Association in the forthcoming BCCI Women’s Senior T20 Tournament to be played in Mumbai from February 20. The team will be led by Debasmita Dutta. BCCI has assigned Kalpana Venkatachar to coach the team, Dr. Hrunda Gadkar as the team physio while Priyanka Mondal will be the team trainer. Chiang D Shira of the MCA will be the team manager. Other state players in the list include Tiewshailin Lyngdoh, Daiaka E Warjri, Luiza Tamang, Deimaphishisha Lamare, Razia Ahmed, Pinky Chanda, Ritisha Nongbet, Solina Jaba, Avril Kharsyiem, Eiffelene K Nongkynrih and Sandra Kanchi Momin. Vandana Mahajan, Saee Kiran Purandare and Trisha Behra are the three guest players in the list approved by BCCI. The team will play two friendly practice matches against Assam senior women’s team in Guwahati, prior to their departure for Mumbai on February 18.
