BJP hails lapse of bill

SHILLONG: The lapse of the Citizenship Amendment Bill in the Rajya Sabha has been hailed by  BJP MLA and Health and Family Welfare Minister AL Hek.
Talking to media persons here on Friday, Hek said the lapse of the bill in Rajya Sabha is a victory for the people of the North East, Meghalaya and the MDA Government. Reiterating that the MDA from day one had opposed the bill, Hek also appreciated the chief minister for taking the initiative to lead from the front in opposing the bill. “This is the biggest achievement of our government and the people of the region,” Hek said
