NONGSTOIN: The MLA of Nongstoin Macmillan Byrsat has requested the DM&HO to complete the enrolment of MHIS phase IV in the village and to make sure that no family is left behind.
The MLA told pressmen here on Friday that he had received complaints with the enrolment process which is currently underway in the entire state. In West Khasi Hills, only 30% of the total household is completed, angering the villagers.
Byrsat said villagers who were left out of enrolment have to go to the DM&HO office in Nongstoin or at the office of their respective office of the Block Development Officer and majority of the villagers are not able to visit these offices due to financial crisis.
Therefore, the MLA has requested the DM&HO to take an appropriate step to ensure that no family, individual or household is left out from the enrolment drive.
He also urged the department to make necessary arrangement so that the enrolment is completed within the village for the convenience of the residents.
