Assam Rifles apprehend 5 NDFB cadres including 3 women in Mon

GUWAHATI: Based on specific input regarding movement of suspected NDFB cadres, Mon Battalion of Assam Rifles laid an ambush along Mon-Chenmoho road and apprehended five suspected NDFB cadres at IB Jn Chenmoho village recently, according to a Defence communiques issued from Kohima on Sunday.

They militants were trying to move across into Myanmar. The apprehended ultras were identified as: Miss Ngamya Shimlaolim (25), Miss Anaw Narzary (25), Penjei Konyak (45), Tonwang (55) years, a resident of Yanching, Myanmar and his wife Yangmoh, also a resident of Yanching, Myanmar. All five were handed over to Mon Police Station for further investigation.
