BSF organises free medical camp in Garo Hills

SHILLONG: The Border Security Force (BSF) organised a free medical camp under civic action programme as part of the Border Management Plan in a remote area in South Garo Hills District on Friday.
The objective of the programme is to provide assistance to the people in remote areas near International Border.
A free medical camp and health checkup programme was organised to facilitate medical aid to the people of Jatrakona, New Jatrakona, Kadamboka, Simpara, Nagrajora, Cherengpara and Makabori villages of the district.
More than 350 patients including children, women visited the camp.
The BSF Medical team was led by Dr. S K Verma, CMO (SG), Dr. Raikhan Thotchabhor (GDMO) of 75 Bn BSF and Dr. Chea CR Marek, of PHC Purakhasia.
The headman of the village extended his gratitude to the BSF for organising the health camp.
