St. Edmund’s & St. Anthony’s claim NEHU volleyball titles

SHILLONG: St. Edmund’s College and St. Anthony’s College on Thursday claimed the top honours in the women’s and men’s events of the NEHU Inter-College Volleyball Tournament played at the NEHU Permanent Campus from February 19-21. Altogether 13 colleges took part in the tournament in both the events. In the wmne’s final, St. Edmund’s College defeated Union Christian College, Umiam 3-0 while in the men’s section St. Anthony’s College defeated Union Christian College by an identical margin. Prof. S. Dkhar, Dean, School of Humanities, NEHU gave away the prizes to the winners. N Das, Asst. Director (Sports), NEHU and Fr. Joby M Joseph, Vice-Principal, St. Anthony’s College, were also present to witness the final matches.
