TURA: A 20-year-old man has been arrested for raping a minor in Dalu area of West Garo Hills. He was taken into custody on Monday.
The accused identified as Jebi S Sangma of Rengsingpara village under Dalu police station in the border region tried to entice the 12-year-old girl, who was playing outside with her other brothers and sisters, by giving her five hundred rupees to accompany him to the nearby forest. The accused was arrested under the POCSO Act.
