Special enrollment camps to be held in all polling stations

TURA: The District Election Officer of West Garo Hills has informed the general public that in view of the impending General Election to the Lok Sabha, 2019, direction has been given for special camps to be set up in each polling station on March 8 and 9 for enrollment of left out eligible voters.

 The special camps aim to provide further opportunity in campaign mode to all un-enrolled eligible persons to get their names registered in the electoral rolls during continuous updation period

 In this regard, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) shall remain present in their respective polling stations along with copies of final electoral rolls and copies of forms 6, 7, 8, 8A to facilitate filling up forms by interested persons. All are requested to check their names in the electoral rolls and fill up Form 6 if their name does not exist in the roll for some reason, the directive added.
