Second body identified as local miner

JOWAI: The second body retrieved from the Ksan coal mine has been identified as Dimonme Dkhar of Lumthari village, East Jaintia Hills, on Thursday.
Dkhar, his brother Melambok and cousin Shalabas were among the 15 miners trapped in the flooded mine on December 13.
The body was pulled out on Wednesday.
An official said the mother came to the morgue of Khliehriat CHC and identified Dkhar from the clothes he wore.
Earlier, the first body of the miner was identified as Amir Hussain of Assam’s Chirang district.
