Accident
On March 6 around 8am, one motorcycle (ML-08A-0972) ridden by Helthing N Sangma, knocked down one pedestrian identified as Garjen Marak at Betasing Market in South West Garo Hills. The victim sustained injuries and was taken to CH Tura for treatment.
Freddie J Lyngdoh lodged a complaint stating that on March 4 around 1:50 am, while he was returning home from work in his Volkswagen Polo (WB-06G-3499) one Maruti car (ML-05F-5222) dashed against his vehicle and then hit the wall of All Saint’s Complex. The complainant’s car was damaged as a result of the incident while the driver of the Maruti car sustained serious injuries.

Theft
Baploo, an employee of one coal trader identified as Bitu, lodged a complaint stating that on March 6 around 11:30am, while travelling in a Bolero camper (ML-08F-3696) from Baburam Bill to Gasuapara via the border road in South Garo Hills, four unidentified persons armed with sharp weapons stopped the vehicle and robbed him of Rs 9,000 cash including his mobile phone.
On March 5 around 4pm, unknown miscreants broke into the house of Kitbok Kharsohphoh in Mawrusyiar village in West Khasi Hills and stole Rs 28,000 cash and gold ornaments valued at Rs 35,000.
