NGT violation continues
On March 6 around 1 am, a Bolero (AS-19C-0938) was capsized at Dangkong Dokatong Dambo Reserve area (EGH). The driver, after the incident, fled away. It was later transpired that the vehicle was transporting coal illegally which led to police seizing it.
On March 7 around 2 am, two coal-laden trucks (AS-01-KC-7657 & AS-18C-5933) were seized at Wa’geasi, North Garo Hills.

Two apprehended for stealing
Givenson Marbaniang of Lachumiere lodged a complaint that on March 7 around 12 pm, he caught Andy Lyngdoh red-handed (20) while committing thievery at his residence.
On March 7, Meban Lyngwa (20) was apprehended for stealing car tape from a car (ML-10-7459) which was parked at Nongkynrih, Laitumkhrah.

Fraudulent transaction
Dr. Anamika Andira Mall of Super Care Hospital lodged a complaint that on March 7 between 4:56 am to 6:34 am, a total of sixty fraudulent transaction were made in Quebec, Canada where Rs. 2,65,229.22 was debited from her account.

ATM vandalised
Ashim Dey lodged a complaint that between March 6 to 7, miscreants vandalised and damaged an SBI ATM Kiosk door at Lummawrie, Laitumkhrah with the intention of stealing cash.

Duped
Akkala Srinivasa Reddy, Asst. Manager, M/s BSCPL Infrastructure Ltd., Betasing (SWGH) lodged a complaint that on March 6 around 1:14 pm, miscreants fraudulently withdrew Rs. 40,000 from his SBI account.

Rs 8 lakh stolen
On March 6 at 1:30 pm, miscreants broke into the house of Wendalin Kharbani at Nongpyndeng village, West Khasi Hills and stole Rs. 8 lakh in cash.

Online shopping fraud
Dr. Anna Juliet Momin lodged a complaint that on March 5, she received a package from USA on payment of Rs. 8,156 for custom duty, but the contents received were different from what she ordered.

Threatened
Poly A Sangma lodged a complaint that on May 1, 2017, May 5, 2018, July 24, 2018 and February 7, 2019, he was sent threatening letters by Ashim A Sangma Chris Rabul A Sangma.
