NPP forms NE coordination committee

SHILLONG: NPP national president Conrad Sangma recently formed the party’s North East Coordination Committee with veteran politician DD Lapang as its chairman.
Prestone Tynsong and Joykumar Singh Yumnam, deputy chief ministers of Meghalaya and Manipur respectively, and former Union minister Agatha Sangma will be ex-officio members of the body that will work towards strengthening NPP in the region.
Arunachal Pradesh MLA Tanga Byaling will be the co-chairman. Manipur minister Letpao Hoakip and Nagaland minister L Khumo Khiamniungan were named vice-chairmen.
Semford B. Sangma and Dibishon Malai will be general secretaries and Jeffrey D. Sangma the organising secretary.
Retired IPS and Assam leader Dilip Kumar Borah and Lalrintlunga Jahau will be members of the committee.
