Two held for NGT violation
On March 15 at around 11:25 pm, the police seized a truck (NL-01-AB-6747) while transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Malki Point. Police kept the truck in custody at Laitumkhrah PS and arrested driver Joynal Miah and owner Johnnie John Phawa of Khliehriat.

Two killed in separate accidents
On March 15 around 12:50 pm, a person identified as Sanjoy Rishi was killed in an accident at Hawakhana, Tura in West Garo Hills. Cadaver was sent to CH Tura for PM examination.
On March 9, Ekyrshan Sanno Kyndait filed an FIR for a car accident that took place in Jowai bypass. The car (ML 04B 8800) was driven by his brother Hamieh Kyndait who had sustained injuries and eventually succumbed to injuries on March 12.

Teenager missing
Aquila Marbaniang lodged a complaint that her seventeen-year-old son went missing from her residence at Pyndengrei, Nongstoin in West Khasi Hills from the night of March 11.

Molestation attempt
On March 9, a complaint was lodged by a woman claiming that a person had entered her quarter in Chokpot, South Garo Hills at 3 am. The mysterious individual tried to molest her but fled when she fought back.

Batteries stolen
On February 23, Linus Martin Nongrum lodged a complaint that around 3 am, miscreants stole 39 batteries from Wahlyngkhat Airtel Site. Lumdiengjri police intercepted a mini truck (AS 01 KC 3393) and retrieved the stolen batteries. Police detained Rupchan Ali, Sahep Ali and Mamud B Marak in connection with the misdeed.
