SHILLONG: A legal awareness programme on the topic ‘Violence leads to Suicide’ was organised at Smit market by the Shillong Law College, Dhankheti on Saturday in order to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The programme was attended by the people residing in Smit and the village authorities. Various topics on domestic violence, suicides, influence of drugs on the society, cyber crimes and psychological aspects of human mind were discussed by the key speakers during the programme.
