SHILLONG:  Shillong Police have issued instructions to its police personnel to arrest the driver and seize those trucks which carry illegal coal in violation of the NGT order.

A police official said that strict instructions had been issued to immediately arrest the driver of any  truck found carrying illegal coal in the city and the district.

It may be mentioned that there have been few instances when trucks carrying illegal coal were seized in the city in the last few months.
