Election control rooms set up in GH, SWKH

TURA/MAWKYRWAT: A control room with number 9402531412 has been set up in the District Election Office (DEO), Baghmara, South Garo Hills, for the purpose of registering and monitoring complaints to solve election-related issues.
Out of the 24 legislative assembly seats that make up the Tura Lok Sabha seat, three—Siju-Rongara, Baghmara and Chokpot—fall in the South Garo Hills district.
Flying squads, static surveillance and video surveillance teams are also enforced to prevent violation of model code of conduct in the district.
Meanwhile, the DEO of Mawkyrwat, South West Khasi Hills also informed that a control room was set up on Saturday for Ranikor and Mawkyrwat constituencies under 1-Shillong Parliamentary Constituency to monitor the adherence of the model code of conduct. Complaints and queries can be registered on contact numbers 94851 53533 and 03656 285234.
The control and complaint monitoring room has been set up in room number 1 of Tourist Lodge in Deinchynrum.
