Resource management workshop held in city

AMPATI: A two-day demonstration workshop on resource management under Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) was conducted for the village functionaries at Betasing Multi Facility Centre, South West Garo Hills, on Thursday and Friday.
It was conducted by District Coordinator and Block Coordinators from District Swachh Bharat Mission (DSBM) in association with Chairman of DSMB and Deputy Commissioner, South west Garo Hills Ram Kumar S and Member Secretary of DSBM, JM Sangma.
The village functionaries were explained about the goal of SBM that include safe sanitation and waste management for creating a healthy environment.
During the workshop, SBM facilitators demonstrated the utilisation of community resources and building a kitchen garden. Other techniques that were demonstrated include making of bio-pesticides, Amrit Pani and Panchagavya.
The participants were instructed to adopt these practices in order to build a clean and garbage free environment.
