Three killed in road mishaps

SHILLONG: Three persons lost their lives in two separate road mishaps in the state in the last three days.
In the first case, the driver – Thokchom Probhas Singh – and an unidentified passenger died on the spot when the Mahindra TUV (HR-26DL-9974) they were travelling in dashed against a truck (AS-01DD-3274) at Nongrah-Shillong Bypass, Ri-Bhoi, on Thursday around 12:27 am.
A third person sustained grievous injuries and was shifted to CHC Bhoirymbong from where he was referred to NEIGRIHMS.In another road mishap, one Mahindra pick-up (ML-08F-4266) collided with a motorcycle (A/F) ridden by Sengbath A Sangma at Goramara NEC Road (WGH) on Wednesday at around 4.15 pm.A pillion rider sustained grievous injuries but the rider succumbed to his injuries on the way to Tura civil hospital.
