In the previous editions, we have published about few options for commerce students. In today’s edition, we will publish few more options related to financial planning or making strategy or providing ideas related to different investment that can be taken up by commerce graduates.
Stock Broker: A stockbroker, share broker, registered representative, trading representative, or more broadly, an investment broker, investment advisor, financial advisor, wealth manager or investment professional is a regulated professional individual, usually associated with a brokerage firm, broker-dealer, or registered investment advisor. This is one of the easiest options for commerce graduates and they can even work independently. This term may be different in different countries so one should not be confused with different terms for the same kind of job.
Insurance: Insurance is a means of protection from financial loss. It is a form of risk management, primarily used to hedge against the risk of a contingent or uncertain loss. An entity that provides insurance is known as an insurer, insurance company, insurance carrier or underwriter.
A person who buys insurance is known as an insured or a policyholder. The transaction involves the insured assuming a guaranteed and known relatively small loss in the form of payment to the insurer in exchange for the insurer’s promise to compensate the insured in the event of a covered loss. The loss may or may not be financial but it must be reducible to financial terms. There are different job opportunities in the field of insurance but the common is becoming an insurance agent or advisor or consultant. It is easy for the commerce graduates to become a part of the insurance company or corporate.
