SGH achieves 97 per cent MRV implementation

TURA: The District of South Garo Hills also achieved 97% in the implementation of Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign held from 1st October 2018 last year.
It may be mentioned that out of total targeted 50,193 beneficiaries, the District has been able to achieved 97% target vaccination coverage conducted last year.
 Out of 804 schools as per micro plan, sessions were held in 804 schools and overall percentage in schools in the District is 37%.
 A total of 4380 rapid convenience monitoring (RCM) has been conducted across the district and a total of 4228 children have been assessed during the RCM out of which 97% children were found vaccinated and the remaining 3% unvaccinated children will be covered during sweeping activity DM and HO of South Garo Hills District, Lily Sengme Marak said today in a District Review Meeting here at Civil Hospital Conference Hall Baghmara. A certificate of appreciation have also been given to all the stakeholders and best performing CHC’s and PHC’s of the District.
 During the concluding day of the campaign  H B Marak Deputy Commissioner cum chairman of the District Health Society South Garo Hills District, said that MRVC was really a great challenge given the limited resources and connectivity issues being the most challenging to the doctors and health workers  but the contribution of all the stakeholders were commendable in successful implementing this Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign here at South Garo Hills District.He also appreciated and congratulated all those involved for the outstanding achievement.
