Three charred to death in city fire

SHILLONG: Three persons were charred to death while one was injured in a fire at Lummarboh in Nongrah area in the wee hours of Saturday.
SP (City) Steve Rynjah said that the incident happened at around 3-3.30 am when the three, aged under 20, were sleeping in a room of a garage.
The room was completely gutted.
Though police are yet to get a final report, spot inquiry indicated the fire started from a room heater which the victims had kept on while they slept.
The deceased have been identified as Register Kurbah, Pynhunlang Lyngdoh and Wankordor Warjri and the injured as Wikistar Khyriem.
Sources said that the trio came to Nongrah for work from Rangshken, Nongtraw.
