Drug peddler held in Nongstoin

NONGSTOIN: A person was arrested on charges of selling drugs in the local market on Thursday.
Police said that after getting information about the presence of a drug peddler in Nongstoin market, a team carried out a raid and arrested the person identified as Kornelius Khardewsaw of Mawshong Khyndew who also goes by the name Kohdeng.
Police recovered 13.66 grams of suspected heroin powder from his possession.
Police said that all NDPS legal procedures have been observed by SI K Powdel with the help of officers in the presence of witnesses.
During interrogation the accused person confessed to the deed.
A suo motu FIR has been filed in this connection.
Attempted break-in
An FIR was filed at Nongstoin police station by a constable from the unarmed branch identified as Rotching Momin of Nongstoin District Court for an attempted break-in on Friday afternoon.
Police informed that one person identified as Albinus L Marshillong, resident of Them Iew Nongstoin entered the complainant’s quarter at Nongstoin Police Reserve and broke open the door.
A witness identified as Tobias Sun also confirmed the incident. Tobias tried to catch the accused person but the latter overpowered him and fled.
