Annual sports day concludes

Mawkyrwat: Maharam Govt Higher Secondary School, Mawkyrwat held its annual sports day on April 17 and 18. South West Khasi Hills District School Education Officer, N.I.Wanniang inaugurated the programme, R Kharbihkhiew, Block Development Officer, Mawkyrwat C&RD Block, attended the closing ceremony. Activities during the two-day event included Marathon,  1500m Race  for both girls and boys, 2000m for boys, Long Jump, High Jump,  Javelin Throw, Shot Put, Discus Throw, 100m Race,  200m Race,  400m Race,  600m Race,  800m Race,   , 4x100m Relay Race , Three Legged Race, Cock Fight, Musical Chairs, Sack Race for boys and girls.Menisha Ramsiej secure the distinction for student with highest points for girls, Johnboswell Sangriang secures the distinction for student with highest points for guys; Yellow House won the March Pass; Blue House won the Champion House. (Overall champs).
