World Malaria Day observed

TURA: World Malaria Day observed across Garo Hills on Friday with multiple programmes to highlight the importance of fighting this disease which has taken scores of lives in the region. Bakdil NGO held a series of events in the malaria affected regions of Rongjeng and Chokpot creating awareness about the use of bed nets, treatment and prevention by keeping surroundings clean and away from stagnant water in which mosquitoes breed and spread malaria.
