Glimpses of the world
The world is diverse,
Inhabited by so many different people and communities.
Each distinct with its own character, colour and form
Elegant due to the beauty of its unique radiance.
Different, yet unique in their
own rights
Shared by an underlying unity of divine humanity.
Our world is depicted by different
colours, shades and cultures
That brings together different thoughts, ideas and philosophies
Making our planet an abode of a unique diversity,
That binds us together in our rapidly evolving society.
Our treasure is our differences,
Our passion is our diversity
Our strength is our acceptance,
And our humanity is our ability to share and grow together.
The glimpses of the world is a mosaic of different views,
That is painted on the canvas with the magic brush of diversity.

The Karchob artisan
Sitting on the edge of the ‘adda’, a wooden frame,
A dusky maiden is working with a
needle
On a georgette cloth
Fixed inside the wooden frame
Oblivious to her surroundings
Fully engrossed, with eyes glued
On the spreadsheet
She is working on a dupatta for a bride
Lacing it with golden gotas,
Her deft fingers are moving up and down
Like a magic wand filling
The blank spaces
With kangan dori, seeps and moti
Enriching the tapestry with vibrant colours.
Perched on a wooden stool,
Her mother’s eyes are dreamy
But her vision clear; one day
Her daughters will appear in
Bridal Lehnga and Chunni
All laced with golden gotas
And bedecked with moti, seep and kangan doris;
Till then, she will not listen
To the approaching doorbell calls
From the God Almighty!
Till then, the show must go on!

If
If provided in the correct sense,
it is a power;
If not, it tends to be a weakness.
If emotional, mental, physical support are provided, the entire
World can be led by one;
If not, depression leads one.
If total satisfaction is provided, the world appears to be jovial;
If not, it crumbles a happily living heart.
If true feelings are alive, the ugliest
becomes the prettiest;
If not, one has to continue pondering upon its flaws.
