SHILLONG: The applicants for jobs will now have an idea of the marks they will get from MPSC thanks to the effort of an RTI applicant.
After the RTI applicant, Arju Dkhar, sought the reply on the marks, the MPSC informed that 87.5% marks will be for written examination and 12.5% will be for personal interview.
Dkhar said he was compelled to make the RTI query since the candidates are in the dark about the break-up of the marks they will obtain during the examinations.
Recently, there was demand from the pressure groups to carry out the interview in camera by the MPSC to ensure transparency.
In the case of State of Meghalaya vs Phikirbha Khariah on April 6, 2018, the order of the Supreme Court bench comprising Judges, Adarsh Kumar Goel and Rohinton Fali Nariman stressed the need to have videography done during selection process for the sake of transparency.
