Mawlai lagging in MHIS enrolment

SHILLONG: Mawlai MLA PT Sawkmie has lamented the poor enrolment for the Megha Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS) in Mawlai constituency.
In a petition to Health Minister, AL Hek, here on Thursday, Sawkmie said that enrolment is not taking place properly due to lack of manpower and machines though the response in the constituency for the scheme is very good.
“ As of now 80 per cent have not got their cards,” Sawkmie said.
He also said that the teams involved in enrolment should visit various localities for the purpose as going to DHS for every individual is not practical.
