SHILLONG: Principal of Pine Mount School, Aiom Ksiar Diengdoh slammed the person who barged into her official quarters arrogantly and questioned her about taking the admission for Class XI when the state board exam results have not been declared.
In a statement issued here, she said the man identified himself as Bah Rynjah, president of Meghalaya Parents &Teachers Association and also as a member of FKJGP.
“I informed him that I was merely following rules that permit provisional admission and requested him to wait for me in the school office. He in turn questioned me if the residential quarters were government owned. I replied in the affirmative, to which he declared that he has the right to enter as and when he pleases,” she said.
On Tuesday, social activist Banshai Marbaniang told the media that the Principal is allegedly flouting the state education rules.
It is yet to be known whether Marbaniang introduced himself as Rynjah.
Diengdoh said he has not sought for an appointment nor did he have the courtesy to speak respectfully but maintained that she exercised maximum restraint. She added that his insistence to call for admission was not in accordance with practice and requested him to meet the higher authorities.
