Two WJH schools  achieve cent per cent results

JOWAI: Two schools in West Jaintia Hills achieved cent percent results in ICSE and HSSLC, the results of which were declared on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
Twentysix students appeared for ICSE examination from Jowai Public School, Mooralong Jowai out of whom 16 secured first division with distinctions in various subjects.
North Liberty Higher Secondary School also secured cent per cent pass in the HSSLC Science Stream with two of its students in the top ten list.
Out of 30 candidates, 29 secured first division with distinction in various subjects and one second division.
Bereninice Anerict Tang secured third position while Kamphereiei Pala secured eight in the Science stream.
Khroo Meda Dkhar of Khasi Jaintia Presbyterian Synod Higher Secondary School secured sixth position in Science.
Eightyeight students appeared for the examinations out of whom 24 secured first division, 49 second division with 14 distinctions in Khasi and one each in Alt. English, Chemistry, Biology and three in Physics.
The Principal of North Liberty Higher Secondary School expressed happiness as this was the first batch that appeared in the HSSLC Science stream.
Both the students who secured 3rd and 8th rank said working hard is the key to success.
“Working hard is the key. It does not include many hours of studying, but to study with understanding,” said Bereninice Anerict Tang.
