New CJ to assume charge on May 28

SHILLONG: The President on Wednesday appointed Justice Ajay Kumar Mittal, Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court to be the Chief Justice of the High Court of Meghalaya.
According to a notification, the appointment is with effect from May 28.
Justice Mittal’s appointment follows the retirement of the present Chief Justice, Mohammad Yaqoob Mir.
