AROH Foundation celebrates Anti Tobacco Day in EKH

SHILLONG: A programme celebrating Anti Tobacco Day was organised by AROH Foundation in Mawjrong where residents from 12 villages came together to take part in the programme.
Lyntiborn Marngar, project manager, delivered the welcome address while P Diengngan, health educator, PHC Swer, gave a speech on the significance of Anti Tobacco Day.
While speaking about the harmful effects of tobacco, she informed the gathering that the theme for World No Tobacco Day or Anti Tobacco Day this year is“Tobacco and Lung Health”.
A Warjri, project coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks.
It may be mentioned that Anti Tobacco Day emphasises on the health and other risks associated with tobacco use and advocates for effective policies to reduce tobacco consumption.
