Abduction
On May 30 around 7 pm, four unidentified armed masked miscreants went to Pormawlien village under Shallang PS in West Khasi Hills and abducted Daniel Daju (35) from his residence. They also took away two mobile phones of the victim. On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and search operations are being conducted.

Accident
On May 29 around 3:40pm, an accident took place between one tempo truck (ML-08G-1889) and one motorcycle (ML-08F-9226) ridden by Grozier M Sangma at Baishpara in South West Garo Hills. The motorcycle rider sustained injuries and was taken to CHC Garobadha from where he was referred to CH Tura for treatment.

Extortion
Tengsak G Momin and others lodged a joint complaint stating that on May 29 around 1:30 pm, two persons identified as Lasbirth D Shira and Dimchang Sangma illegally collected money from Archery counters at Tura Bazar in West Garo Hills. Later, it transpired that one Rimpu instructed six persons identified as Jasmine Marak, Jameetar Sangma, Lasbirth D Shira and others to collect money from Archery counters.

Fraud
Poonam Devi Kotwal of Nongmensong, Shillong stated that on May 22 and 23, unauthorized withdrawal of cash and online transactions amounting Rs 1 lakh were done from her SBI account at SBI Bhanderwah Branch.

Theft
On May 29 around 1am, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle belonging to Timolin M Sangma from his garage at Rangmalgre village in East Garo Hills.
On May 29 around 9:45 am, one motorcycle (ML-08F-2458) belonging to Pradip Rabha was found missing from his residence at Gophupara village in West Garo Hills.
