SHILLONG: Ri Bhoi police is awaiting the post-mortem report in connection with the mysterious death of an employee of Meghalaya Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC).
A police official said that the investigation is on and they are still awaiting for the post-mortem report.
It may be mentioned that a murder case has been registered by the police in this regard.
The body of the woman was found in a forest at Umbir in Ri Bhoi, on June 6.
The police added that the cause of death of the woman would be known only after receiving the post-mortem report. Police said if the post-mortem report indicates any foul play, there will be a comprehensive investigation. The women’s police station in Nongpoh is investigating the matter and so far no body has been arrested.
