Assam Guv asks IPS probationers to boost country’s development pace

GUWAHATI:Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi on Monday told a group of IPS probationers that allthe officers are expected to work sincerely in their respective fields and play a vital role in taking the nation forward in the path of development.

Professor Mukhi was interacting with 22 IPS Probationers of 71RR (2018 Batch) who had called on him at Raj Bhavan hare.

Addressing the probationers, the Governor elucidated the government’s vision for developing the State and elaborated on the important thrust areas. He informed the delegates about the inherent strength of the state viz. natural resources, human resources and rich cultural heritage of the state.

Prof Mukhi also said that he felt proud to be interacting with them as the country would depend on them for maintenance of law and order, security measures and other related issues.

He further said that he had a lot of expectations from all the officers and asked them to work sincerely and play a vital role in taking the nation forward in the path of development.
