KHADC’s final verdict on NOC to Assam govt on June 28

SHILLONG: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) will take a final decision on June 28 with regard to the No Objection Certificate (NoC) allegedly issued to the Assam Government by Hima Nongspung to initiate the road project in New Balakhowa, Ri-Bhoi.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Deputy Chief Executive Member in-charge Elaka, Pyniaid Sing Syiem said the Syiem of Hima Nongspung, Patrick Syiemiong and secretary of
Hima Nongspung, Michael Warjri will again be summoned on June 28. “June 28 will be the last hearing and will take a decision on that day. We will go ahead even if one of them (Syiemiong or Wajri) is absent,” he said.
In the past, Warjri was unable to attend the hearing as he is admitted at NEIGRIHMS.
