NEW DELHI: BJP leader and Minister for Information and Health AL Hek met former Union health minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, working president of BJP, on Tuesday.
Hek held a brief discussion about the party in the North East. He appreciated the fact that BJP and its allies are now ruling all over the North East.
North East is the only region in the country which has become “Congress Mukt” in real sense of the term, Hek told Nadda.
Nadda advised Hek to spread the message of the party and good work of the government in every nook and corner of the region so that the BJP can grow stronger in the once remote and backward region.
Nadda’s appointment as working president came at the meeting of the parliamentary board, the highest decision-making body of the BJP, on Monday. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
