Search and rescue training held in Baghmara

TURA: The District Disaster Management Authority Baghmara organized  a two day programme on Search and Rescue and Water Rescue for Volunteers Community Base at Karawani Fishery Pond.During the two day training programme around 150 volunteers including the team of State Disaster Response Force from Tura attended the program  and take part in various activities and practicals being undertaken in different locations like the picturesque Jawa Wari and Emangre area. It may be mentioned that the District Disaster Management Authority Baghmara has funded some life jackets to the care takers of Jawa Wari in view of the safety of all the local and foreign visitors.      The Deputy Commissioner and the Chief Guest of the Training H.B.Marak in his address informed the gathering about the role and responsibilities of the volunteers while P.Ch Marak District Disaster Management Officer in his keynote address briefed on the importance of Search and rescue  during floods and other emergencies and also on water rescue techniques among other
