Meeting
The third general body meeting of the Alumni Association of Gorkha Secondary School Alumni Association will be held on June 23 at 10:30 am at the premises of Gorkha Secondary School, Upper Shillong- 5.
The FKJGP agriculture cell East Khasi Hills along with the FKJGP central body will hold a meeting of agricultural dealers from the state on June 24 at 10 pm at the office of the organisation. It will discuss on the problems faced by the dealers.
Hindi workshop
A one-day hindi workshop was held in the office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit), Shillong on Thursday. It was inaugurated by Raghvendra Singh, Deputy Accountant General (R.S.) in the presence of Binod Bhujel, Secretary cum Welfare Officer. Ten officials participated.
Road closure
The office of the Executive Engineer, PWD Ampati informed the public that in view of the opening to traffic of the new RCC bridges at Zikzak diversion (ADB road), the SPT bridges no 12/4 and 12/5, at 12 km of Ampati- Mahendraganj road is hereby closed to all vehicular traffic with immediate effect.
Sec 144
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Amlarem Civil Sub-Division, has promulgated an order under Section 144 CrPC prohibiting the public from washing clothes, utensils, vehicles, bathing and dumping of garbage in the water source of the Amlarem Water Supply Scheme at Jarain.The order has been enforced in view of reports stating that the water source is being polluted by various activities which pose serious health hazards.
