KSU warns irresponsible govt servants

Mawkyrwat: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU), Mawkyrwat Circle on Sunday issued a warning to government servants especially officers working in different departments in Mawkyrwat, for attending office only thrice a week.
Chairman of the Employment and Development Cell of the KSU Mawkyrwat Circle, Iengskhem Syiemlieh said that the union has received many complaints from the public about the irregularity of the government servants in attending office which has affected the people especially the poor.
The KSU also expressed concern over the frequent transfer of government officers in South West Khasi Hills.
“Frequent transfer of officers is one of the reasons affecting our development,” Syiemlieh said adding that the union will be forced to investigate the matter and reveal the names of the people involved in the forceful transfer of officers.
