Three injured by lightning in Garo Hills

TURA: Three women sustained injuries in a lightning strike during a thunderstorm at around 1 pm on Monday in a remote village of East Garo Hills. The incident occurred in the Dagal region which is close to the North Garo Hills border.
Three women at Dagal Aringa village sustained injuries when a bolt of lightning struck the house they were taking refuge from the storm. One of the women was left unconscious from the impact. The injured have been identified as Seneka Momin (32), Penila Marak (21) and Malsha Sangma (23). They were rushed to Dagal Apal primary health centre for treatment. The medics at the scene informed that all three are reportedly out of danger.
